I know, I know....a museum for quilts!? But it was amazing!
On our way back to Florida, I wanted to stop in Paducah, Kentucky for a visit. Why? Well, one is this Quilt Museum, and the murals on the river wall that illustrated Paducah's long history. Besides, it's just a neat, historical place with marvelous downtown old buildings.
Inside the museum are dozens of gorgeous quilts, everything from historical and traditional (which we both really drawn to and liked) to modern art and those that pushed the boundaries. Between Kim and I, we took over 200 photos. We talked to one of the ladies there and they said they have another 600 in storage that they switch out from time to time. 600!!
There's a lot of photos in this entry...watch out!
If you know anyone that quilts or likes quilting or just enjoys looking at them, please pass this blog entry along.
We have posted all the photos here should anyone want to take the time to view all of them.

First, here's some looks inside the museum.
They even had a "small" quilt section.

My hand is there to show scale; it's not a quilt hand! |
