Greenville South Carolina

We've heard a lot about what a nice and friendly town Greenville is so we stopped in for a few days to poke around. Greenville is between Columbia, SC and Asheville, NC.

The big attraction to us was the downtown area that had these wonderful falls, river and river park area. You can see the water theme throughout.

Nice, nice place to walk around, sit and think or nap on the grass.


















Look at this tree and its roots along the side of this wall. 


Of course, I had to get as close to the water as possible to dip my hands in it....almost got too close here !



We also saw this HUGE house that had been moved about 7 blocks to its new location. I talked to the supervisor. He said they started moving it the previous Saturday around 8am and got it to here late in the afternoon. Lots of cooperation with the public utilities to hold up the wires and take down others so it could get down the street.



Always on the lookout for some cute homes as well.....
